Comparing Ancient Rome and modern day weapons

Why we chose this topic:
We chose this topic because it sounded very interesting and was the first thing we thought about. We also felt that this was the best way we could show the comparison between modern day and Ancient Rome weapons. We where also able to find plenty of information.

What we thought the answer was:
We thought that modern day weapons could not be compared to Ancient Rome weapons because they had no skills and not enough technology. We also thought that they just grabbed anything that was sharp and attack.

Information:
In Ancient Rome they used Pilum/Javelin which is long sticks with a sharp iron point which would penetrate human body. In modern day we use all different types of guns including snipers and hand guns.

Conclusion:
We where partially right. They did use sword's and cannot compare to modern day weapons.
